COHRED was mandated by the Swiss National Science Foundation to organise a one-day Workshop on March 27th 2015 in Berne on how to build effective international collaborative research partnerships as part of the r4d Skills series of the Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Development.
At this workshop organized by the Swiss National Science Foundation, COHRED informed 27 r4d researcher grant applicants within the relevant thematic modules (Social Conflict, Employment, Food Security, Ecosystem Management, and Public Health) about the principles of equitable partnerships. The workshop aimed to define the best approach for establishing collaboration mechanisms with partner institutions from low-middle income countries (LMICs) and to provide information on how to structure a project agreement with institutions from LMICs using the principles of COHRED’s Fair Research Contracting (FRC) Initiative.
