Kirsty Klipp presented the RFI as part of a parallel session at the SARIMA conference 2018, on Thursday May 31, 2018, at the Misty Hills Country Hotel in Gauteng, South Africa.
The theme for the conference was “The Research to Innovation continuum in the 4th industrial revolution” and the session focused on “Adapting to a Changing World in Research Management”.
Other speakers for the session included Dr Zenobia Louw, from Rhodes University, who discussed “Research Management and the 4th Industrial Revolution: What does the future hold?”, and Dr Thabile Sokupa, from the University of the Western Cape, who discussed “Integrated and Trans-Disciplinary and Multi-Disciplinary Solutions Approach: An Alternative in Managing Research for Transformative Innovation”.
The presentation on the RFI focused on it as a tool for research managers, which can help institutions to work towards innovation, and economic and social gains through research.
